ANET A4/Delta Fullbody Effector - E3D V6, BLTouch

thingiverse

Remixed for an ANET A4 that has 25mm effector offset (but 50mm between diagonal rods) and with BLTouch v3 support from kirill91's great design (which was 40mm between the rods). This allows the stock carriage slides to be used. You don't need to have a BLTouch to use this effector, the mounts for it bolt onto the main body. I should also mention that I don't use the factory ANET A4 board with the BLTouch, I replaced it with a SKR 1.3. I also don't use the BLTouch anymore, I spent a lot of time getting it dialed in manually, now it prints level and true every time. (Any probe offset other than 0 from the real nozzle is too much, I'm convinced now that the only auto-leveling a delta should use is piezoelectric.) I use 3M insulation tape on the inside of the fan shroud and on the bottom of the main effector before installing the shroud as well as a silicon sock on the hotend. (as seen in the last picture) The hotend cooling fan MUST always be running when the hotend is hot, otherwise the whole thing will melt. I also have modified my end gcode to keep the part fans on after the print finishes to cool the hotend down quicker (with M106 P0). You should also probably not print something and then turn the printer off immediately, doing so might allow the residual heat from the hotend to creep up and warp the mounts. Marlin settings for this effector: "#define DELTA_EFFECTOR_OFFSET 25.0 // the distance the nozzle is set back from the center between rods spaced at 50mm" If you use a BLTouch with it: "#define NOZZLE_TO_PROBE_OFFSET { 0, 45, -4.175 }" You will need to figure out and set your Z height on your own, because of springs and endstop variances between all A4s. (mine is 219.62) Because the effector offset doesn't differ from the factory offset hard-coded in the firmware you should be able to use this (minus the BLTouch) with the factory ANET A4 firmware and only need to adjust the Z height via the touchscreen or via USB and a terminal. Compact frame with minimum necessary taken space.
