Anet A2 Z motor mount
thingiverse
Bracket lowers overall height of Anet A2, reducing top end from 18-1/4" to 17 3/8". I built an enclosure originally for my Anet A8 printer, which stood at 18-1/8" tall (Anet A8 is 17-7/8"). Deciding to switch it up, I placed my Anet A2 inside. Knowing the LCD panel would have to be removed and relocated, I quickly realized it wouldn't fit due to the A2's over height of 18-1/4". Spotting this support bracket for my A2 sparked an idea that worked out perfectly. Minimal print height was lost; the bottom of the coupling is almost at the same level as the metal corner supports' bottom. Two styles were created: one with a support and one without. My plan was to use the supported Z-axis rod model and the unsupported extruder mount design. This modification originated from http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2193222. Multiple 3mm holes are also included for using t-nuts to secure it in place.
