I've upgraded my Anet A8 LCD display with one from the Anet A6. If you're interested, search for Anet A6 displays on Aliexpress. The original knob has been replaced with this model: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2449940. This upgrade significantly improves upon the original display, which features a 5-button layout that's quite cumbersome to operate. The frame was designed to be a press fit onto https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2267628. With this frame in place, the LCD is more protected and looks nicer as well. A 0.5mm gap inside the frame accommodates a 0.4mm thick clear plastic sheet (approximately 78mm x 51mm) that safeguards the LCD. The sheet should be cut to fit snugly into the frame, with rounded edges for a precise press fit. I sourced my 0.4mm clear plastic sheet from a discarded toy package and suspect you'll easily find it on a similar item.
