Andy Pencil Holder
thingiverse
Keeping your pens and pencils organized is a must for every artist's workspace, which inspired this desk toy design that combines Andy Warhol's fashion sense with functionality. This clever device lines up your pencils perfectly, making it a joy to use. The project was a hands-on exploration of the constraints of desktop 3D printers, pushing the boundaries of what can be achieved with consumer-grade technology. The goal was to combine multiple colors into a single object, and the end result is a fun and practical desk toy that works on almost any common 3D printer. Multiple designs were quickly created and tested using Fusion 360, and the final model was printed on a standard 3D printer using two different PLA plastics at 300 microns. The result was a sturdy yet visually appealing device. To-Do List: The glasses don't fit quite right. Pencil holes are too tight; they need some extra room to move freely. Print Settings: Printer Brand: Deltaprintr Printer: Deltaprintr Kit Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: 300 Infill: 20 Post-Printing: After printing, the pieces will need to be glued together. The head should fit snugly onto the body without any additional glue needed.
