Android Robot LED Nightlight/Lamp

Here's a video of it in action... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7OURnFELybw&feature=youtu.be I've created a group for my LED lights and designs, if you like what I'm doing, join the group and stay updated as I post new creations. I have many more logos planned, so feel free to suggest any ideas you might have - I'll make them for you. This is an extruded LED Android Robot that I printed on my dual extruder 3D printer. I started by taking a JPEG of the robot and tracing it in Solidworks software. From there, I created a detailed design by adding fillets and extruding the model to create its own STL file for use in dual extrusion. Next, I designed a plate to surround the robot, added holes for screws, and saved that as its own STL file as well. Finally, I designed a shell to go around the plate and robot, ensuring aligned screw holes so it can be securely fastened to the plate. I printed the outer shell using regular black PLA on my Rep 2 3D printer, while printing the inner plate and translucent robot parts using Bendlay filament - which allowed for an impressive 91% of light to pass through. To bring everything together, I wrapped an RGB LED strip around the inner shell and connected it to an IR receiver, allowing me to control the lights with a remote.
With this file you will be able to print Android Robot LED Nightlight/Lamp with your 3D printer. Click on the button and save the file on your computer to work, edit or customize your design. You can also find more 3D designs for printers on Android Robot LED Nightlight/Lamp.
