Android Powered Alarm Clock Radio

This is an enclosure to build an Android-powered alarm clock radio that's incredibly affordable and easy to set up. It relies on a low-cost pre-paid smartphone paired with a pair of high-quality speakers to deliver outstanding sound quality. Archos used to manufacture an Android alarm clock radio, but their model featured a 3.5-inch resistive touch screen that was far from ideal. Since no company produces one now with a modern Android OS, I decided to design my own enclosure. I built two units - one for my night table and another for my wife's bedside stand. As it's powered by an Android operating system, you can run any app or software that you would on a smartphone, giving you unparalleled flexibility. Moreover, having this device strictly dedicated to bedside use allows for unique functions that wouldn't be possible with a tablet or phone. We've been using them for nearly a month now, and we're thoroughly enjoying the experience.
