The Chinese giant salamander is a massive amphibian species native to China. This enormous creature is commonly known as the salamandra gegant de la Xina in Catalan and can be found in zoos around the world, including the Zoo de Barcelona in Spain. On October 23rd, 2001, a female specimen was collected for study at this zoo. It measures an impressive size of 39.91 mm in height, 98.71 mm in width, and has a remarkable depth of 89.74 mm. The Chinese giant salamander is a truly massive animal with a skull that is unlike any other known species.
