Andrei Saguna Bust in Astra Park, Sibiu
myminifactory
The essence of our Association I describe as magnificent in its simplicity, and unique in every way, (...) as solemn as challenging, because it requires unwavering dedication and a heartfelt offering. Andrei Șaguna (20 January 1809, Miskolc, Hungary – 28 June 1873, Nagyszeben, Hungary) was a renowned Metropolitan bishop of the Romanian Orthodox Church in Transylvania, and a prominent leader of the Romanian community within the Habsburg Monarchy, especially active during the pivotal 1848 Revolution. He held an honorary membership with the prestigious Romanian Academy. This bronze bust was crafted by Sibiu's talented sculptor Imre Gyenge in 1973. This object is part of "Scan The World". Scan the World is a groundbreaking non-profit initiative pioneered by MyMiniFactory, aimed at creating a comprehensive digital archive of fully 3D printable sculptures, artworks, and landmarks from around the globe for public access.
