Renowned professor at Brasov University in 1838, collaborator of Baritiu on the Gazeta Transilvaniei (Transylvanian Gazette) and Foaie pentru minte, inima si literatura Review (Leaflet for mind, heart and literature). He actively participated in the Revolution of 1848-1849 in Transylvania; in Sibiu, he served as translator for the official government bulletin. His work also appeared in the Romanian Telegraph, and in 1862, his poetry was published in the collection 'From Andrei Muresanu's poems', which earned him a prestigious award from ASTRA.
