Andonstar AD249S Microphone Boom Arm Mount With Lights
thingiverse
For mounting an AD249S on a standard 3/8" microphone boom arm. May also fit other microscopes with a 45mm collar. v2 has some strengthening added. 37mm version included by request, but it may need post print work as I don't have a scope to test it with. For the collar screw holes, I recommend tapping M5-0.8mm pitch threads and using bolts with a minimum of 10mm thread length. The original screws are too short due to the thickness of the collar. I also recommend sticking a few layers of Kapton tape on the microscope body where the screws will contact it. This will protect the plastic. For the goose neck lamps you will need to tap M8-1.25mm pitch threads. You will need to drill out the holes a little. For the M5 holes I used a 4.8mm bit. For the M8 holes it was a 7mm bit. The 3/8" microphone thread was very tight, so if you have the appropriate tap, you may want to use it first. You'll need to de-solder the wires for the lights before removal, but the polarity on the power board was clearly marked in my case. Take a picture first if unsure. The power board can be glued or screwed to the underside.
