Anderson Power Pole Mount, 2 x 5: A Custom Power Distribution Box Project. My friend recently built a custom Power Distribution Box that showcases impressive DC power distribution capabilities for amateur radio enthusiasts. Check out the details below and let me know if you're interested in receiving the Bill of Materials (BOM). The box features a robust design, with a large 75A Power Pole connector on one side, allowing for efficient DC power input. To prevent reverse polarity damage, a high-current Schottky diode pair is strategically placed at the input. Power distribution to the ten 40A Power Pole connectors is achieved through five DC circuit breakers: one 5A, one 10A, two 20A, and one 35A each. Each breaker supplies power to two adjacent Power Pole connectors above and inline with it. For monitoring purposes, a shunted voltage/ammeter is integrated into the system, displaying both input voltage and total current. Additionally, a boost/buck DC-DC converter provides a stable 5V supply at 5A to the two USB-A ports on top of the box. On top, a small toggle switch enables or disables the volt/amp meter, providing users with complete control over the monitoring system.
