An Egyptian Venerated Artifact A replica of an ancient ring fashioned from gold and jasper is employed to honor the gods worshipped by the ancient Egyptians. This precise reproduction depicts a piece showcased at the Walter's Art Museum, sourced from Egypt's "Late Period" era (estimated to have been created between 664 BC and 322 BC). Probable origin within the Amarna region stems from inscriptions it bears. The ring exhibits an iconic representation of Ptah on one side. Inscribed with hieroglyphics denoting his name above, the depiction aligns with expectations based upon traditional logogram glyphs indicating noun designations. Conversely, Amun-Re is inscribed in stylized script on the other face of the ring, complemented by phonemes situated below its respective hieroglyphic rendering to articulate full words across available surface area. Replicating the ancient piece has rendered a multiform representation suited for various 3D applications - namely MAX, FBX, OBJ and 3DS models. Additionally, an attached basic reflection map comes compressed in ZIP format for use in design endeavours.
