Ancient Egyptian relief representing Horus
myminifactory
This relief could depict Ancient Egyptian deity Horus or one of his high priests – the tiny falcon carved on top of the staff the man is grasping. The falcon was indeed a symbol of Horus: he's sometimes shown with the head of a falcon, or entirely as a falcon. Horus is believed to be the god of the sky, but also of battle and hunting. The image of this deity is positive, in contrast to his mythological foe Set, god of the desert who slew Horus's father Osiris.
