Ancient Egyptian Mummy - Sword
myminifactory
This is a sword I designed and 3D printed for my kid's mummy costume. The design is based on concept art from ArtStation, specifically "Tomb King Weapons," which I modified to fit my child's preferences. I created the model in Maya and refined it with ZBrush. To add structural integrity, I split the sword into two halves, each divided into three pieces, and inserted a channel for a bent M4 threaded rod. Epoxy glue was used to assemble the pieces and rod. A gold and acrylic paint job finished off the look. The Prusa i3 MK2 3D printer was used with a 0.35mm layer thickness for speed, but I opted for this setting to achieve a layered effect reminiscent of etching. For the costume, I also printed arm guards, shin guards, belt pieces, and skulls for the necklace – more details can be provided upon request.
