Ancient Egyptian Canopic Jar: Imsety
thingiverse
Canopic jars were used by ancient Egyptians to safeguard and preserve the mummified organs of the deceased. The four sons of Horus, prominently featured on the lids, are Duamutef, a jackal-headed figure who safeguards the stomach, Hapi, a baboon-headed guardian who protects the lungs, Imsety, a human-headed champion who shields the liver, and Qebehsenuef, a falcon-headed warrior who defends the intestines. This jar showcases Imsety. Files for the other jars in this set can be downloaded from my Gumroad store at gumroad.com/voxinaudita The standard print size for the lid is 103 mm long by 109 mm wide by 75 mm high. The jar measures 122 mm long by 122 mm wide by 159 mm high. Scaling down the print size is not advisable, as it can cause holes to develop in the thin front wall of the lid. Both the lid and jar can be printed without any supports.
