The anchor is a sturdy wooden and stone structure used on small fishing boats. Its worn end, where the rope was once attached, suggests a long history of use that may have led to its descent into the sea. In 1983, a team from VÅGEN in Saltvik recovered this anchor outside Hundklobben, Saltvik. Measuring 35 cm tall, it bears identification number M 17.1.
