Anchor Point
grabcad
For my design, I created a type of anchor point that people could use while being able to turn in any direction without losing their position. To use this system, a person would latch a platform to the bottom of their shoe (or just their foot) using straps, in the same way you would secure sandals. Each platform features a "key" directly below the toes, a heel to offset the height of the key, and a rubber hinge connection to allow the foot to flex. The second part of this design is a "lock", which would be placed in front of areas that people will frequent, such as the kitchen or workshop areas. To use the lock, a person wearing the platform will step over the lock, with the key being inserted all the way to the bottom of the lock (some flexing of the foot might be required), then they will turn their foot 30 degrees counter clockwise. An aperture mechanism will close and encompass the key, holding the person in place until they reverse the procedure to unlock the anchor.**I do not have access to the Rhino software, so I am unable to properly convert my files. However, online resources state that importing the file through Rhino is possible and common.
With this file you will be able to print Anchor Point with your 3D printer. Click on the button and save the file on your computer to work, edit or customize your design. You can also find more 3D designs for printers on Anchor Point.
