The ancestors culture plays a central role in the kalash culture in the north of Pakistan. This type of sculpture commemorates the funerary presents gifted after the death of a person.This character is the idealisation of a male ancestor. He is dressed as of a shepherd and the turbant that is received by young men when they reach adulthood. This is a turbant which is worn only two times in life, at the entrance in adulthood and after death.
