Anatomical Heart Puzzle

Anatomical Heart Puzzle

thingiverse

This 20-piece anatomical heart puzzle proves to be a lot tougher than it initially seems. A creepy Valentine's Day gift? A thoughtful present for someone recovering from heart surgery? Whatever your intentions may be, remember that repairing a broken heart is never an easy task. The puzzle is built around a 20-sided icosahedron shape. Each edge features holes designed to hold pairs of 3mm x 3mm cylindrical magnets in place, ensuring everything stays together. Files are grouped into four categories: "Apex," "Apex Edge," "Vena," and "Vena Edge." Each group includes five puzzle pieces. Pieces labeled "Apex" share a vertex at the heart's apex. "Apex Edge" pieces all share an edge with an "Apex" piece. Pieces labeled "Vena" share a vertex roughly in the area of the superior vena cava. "Vena Edge" pieces all share an edge with a "Vena" piece. Separate files are provided for each group, as well as combined files to print groups out together. When scaling the files, keep in mind that the holes designed for 3mm x 3mm cylindrical magnets will no longer be the correct size.
