In my home, there was a cast glass heart sculpture by Miriam Ewers. During Fab Academy, I made a hydrostone mold from a Flex wax negative of it and also cast it in urethane rubber. The latter was scanned with 123D Catch to create the model you see here. The raw scan is available online, and I printed this in translucent red PLA on my Replicator 3D printer at 0.25 resolution; opaque color might have provided better detailing.
