Tools needed: M3 inserts M3 screw Elastic ruberbands Agar-Agar Heat Shrink tube Instructions: 1º Bolt the femur and pelvis bone to the upper and lower caps (4 m3 bolts) 2º attach the femoral artery and vein (optional) to the caps using Heat Shrink tube, apply local heat without melting the plastic. 3º Bolt everything to the mold using 4 m3 screws. 4º Prepare 2 liters of agar-agar solution, approximately 30 g per liter (3 "big" spoons). If using PLA wait until the mixture is relatively cold so that the PLA is not melted/deformed. 5º Unscrew the femur and pevis bones and unmold it. Enjoy!!! Pigments could be added to the solution to make it opaque. The upper cap, down cap and the mold can be printed in PLA. The femoral artery and vein should be printed in elastic resin for a more realistic feeling when puncturing. TPU is too hard to puncture, soft TPE materials may work.
