Anatomical Ankle Brace
thingiverse
I'm uploading a 3D printed ankle brace designed with MRI scans, made from TPU that molds perfectly to your foot due to its generic shape. The model is fully scalable to fit any foot size, and I've uploaded a size 11 version. This ankle brace is incredibly comfortable, far surpassing the one I bought at Walgreens. To make it even more functional, I added laces so it can be worn as a shoe or sock, while still allowing you to slip on your regular shoes on top. To avoid using additional supports, I split the model along the red lines in the last image and printed each part inverted. The top section was printed with its normal orientation, while the bottom part was printed upside down with the cutaway section facing the printer bed. Using a heat gun to join them proved surprisingly easy and strong, creating a nearly invisible bond as shown in the photos.
