Anathema Cosplay Staff from World of Warcraft

I have created this stunning staff for cosplay at an event called "JapanAniManga Night." The designing, 3D printing, building, and painting took nearly six months to complete. This masterpiece is almost 1.8 meters in length. One special detail that really caught my eye are the green crystals, which I designed with hollow interiors filled with LEDs that shine beautifully at night. This staff was my very first personal 3D project. Prior to this, I had never actually worked with a 3D program. I used Google SketchUp to draw the entire design from scratch. For this project, I bought an Ultimaker2 and therefore had zero experience with 3D printing as well. As a result, some parts might require slight adjustments after printing to fit together smoothly. I ended up having to sharpen certain edges, use glue etc., to assemble it correctly. Inside the lower section of the staff is a carbon rod measuring one centimeter in diameter and one meter long, which greatly enhanced its stability. However, this addition necessitated the creation of extra fixations and glued them inside the staff to make it durable enough to carry around all day without any issues. On assembling the staff itself: I built it from the bottom up after printing all parts (see image with named components). Component 2 required a screw to be threaded through its cover, secured by a small nut. A tiny magnet was also attached to the lid, enabling me to close and keep it shut easily. Inside that lid lies a 9-volt battery connected to the fourteen LEDs positioned throughout all crystals in the staff. Component 9 proved tricky to fixate and necessitated extensive use of glue, as it played a critical role in holding together the upper part of the staff. Following components 8 and 9, I built the upper section of the staff piece by piece to facilitate the placement of power lanes and LED's within them first. Component 9 boasts six small LEDs grouped in three pairs, while component 18 is outfitted with one substantial 8mm LED sporting a 360° beam angle, crystal Number 16 (which required duplication) uses 6 smaller LEDs collectively, and number 21 leverages six small LEDs concurrently. To secure these cables firmly, I used glue judiciously. Upon completion of the LEDs and wiring setup, both upper and lower halves were carefully sealed together using additional amounts of glue for extra security.
