Analogue Nt NES cartridge slot insert
thingiverse
This is an insert to fix three problems with the Analogue Nt cartridge slot: 1. The cart slot is extremely loose, eliminating much of the back and forth wiggle. 2. It raises the cartridge by 3mm, a height that allows the Nt to read carts more efficiently when they are slightly elevated. 3. It prevents metal-on-plastic contact with NES cartridges. Analogue sent out flimsy little plastic cartridge protectors, but all they do is stop the metal on plastic contact. The loose cartridge slot is one of the most glaring design issues in the Analogue Nt, making this a cheap and simple fix. This insert was specifically designed for the original Analogue Nt. I'm not certain if it will fit the Nt mini. It's made to be a tight fit on purpose; any looser, and it would come out when you remove the cartridges. I also included a basic dust cover because this holds the cartridge slot open. You may want to design a more elaborate one. You might consider sanding down the curve after printing so it's smoother. This is probably my favorite thing I've ever created. It significantly improves the Nt in my opinion.
