This is a simple battery adapter that converts 2x CR2 lithium cells to the long obsolete BA-1100/U commonly used in the Vietnam era 'Starlight' scopes like the AN/PVS-2 and the TVS-2. Replaces the cumbersome 4x AA adapter that is known to be too long for the battery compartment.
