A 3d scan of an owl statue on my shelf has been captured with remarkable detail. To make printing a breeze, simply add supports strategically: underneath the beak, within the eyeballs, and along the underside of the hat. Resolution is not crucial in this case, as I found that even 15% infill worked beautifully for me - you may opt for an even lower setting if desired. Pictures documenting where I added supports within S3D will soon follow. The file size has ballooned due to my reluctance to reduce the resolution after scanning it.
