an octave of tiny organ pipes
thingiverse
Originally posted two years ago was an organ pipe whistle (http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:311), followed by a full octave of pipes. However, it took a few years to clean up the files before posting them. The 13 organ pipe whistles included are not tuned to any standard but are relatively in tune with each other. The files partially optimize cutting by sharing long flat edges, which might require more work for copying and pasting individual parts. The designer used an unconventional method of tuning the 13 whistles: starting with a single whistle and doubling the length of the pipe above the fipple to create the second, then distributing the remaining 11 pipes equally between the two for manual adjustments. The files are best cut from 1/8" wood (acrylic is untested) and fit well on two 24x12" sheets or five 24x4". Each document has an optional engraving layer for marking numbers, but sorting by size might be easier. Each of the 13 pipes requires assembling layers to build a full pipe (photos for hints). A notch is cut out for fine-tuning with metal strips, although it's optional to leave it open. If you create a set, please share a video of its sound!
