This AN-M14 INCENDIARY grenade purpose is to simulate the placement of thermite during RSP of UXO. The grenade is usually initiated using a single blasting cap inserted into the top hole. The TH3 incendiary hand grenade generates heat to 4000°F. The grenade filler will burn from 30 to 45 seconds. The grenade body is of thin sheet metal and is cylindrical in shape. It is filled with an incendiary mixture, Thermite TH3 and First-Fire Mixture VII. Hand grenade fuze M201A1 is a pyrotechnic delay igniting fuze. The body contains a primer first-fire mixture. Assembled to the body are a striker, striker spring, safety lever and safety pin with pull ring. The split end of the safety pin has an angular spread. Safety clips are not required with these grenades.''
