This customizable pillow block for Thomson Super 8 linear ball bushings can be secured from the bearing side of the mounting plate using screws. Designed to be slightly smaller than Thomson's own version, the mounting holes are spaced at metric centers measuring 25mm x 25mm and 40mm x 25 mm. The design accommodates 6-32 screws for adjustment and mounting, but users can easily modify the hole sizes to accommodate metric screws if needed. The adjustment screw is utilized to fine-tune the preload (also known as "fitment") of the bearing within the block. To aid in centering the bearing, retainer bumps are integrated into the design. I fabricated this part using coex3d MG-94 ABS with 0.2mm layer thickness, a fill density of 30%, and no support material, brim, or raft during printing.
