I'm creating a dynamic protein model from the 2HHB.pdb dataset, focusing on chain A and amino acids 1VLSPADKTNVKAAWGKVGA19. The alpha-helix is visualized in a cartoon format, clearly displaying stabilizing hydrogen bonds between peptide backbone atoms. One additional hydrogen bond exists but can be removed once printed. I designed this model to serve as an educational tool for teaching Biochemistry and Structural Biology students. The protein structure data originates from the Protein Data Bank ID: 2HHB. I utilized CURA segmentation software and Chimera 3D modeling/CAD tools to create this digital representation of a molecular structure derived from crystallography data.
