I built this entire aircraft airframe using nothing but tubes of chrome molybdenum (alongside some wooden components) and no stainless steel bolted fasteners whatsoever. I constructed it specifically to compare its performance against motorcycle practice, which employs Malleable iron braze sweated connectors with the same type of tubing.
