Amygdala (Bloodborne)

Amygdala (Bloodborne)

When I first started learning sculpting in Blender, I immediately realized the potential for making horrifying monsters. I had a go at making one of my favorite Bloodborne monsters, and while the head turned out pretty good, the rest was annoyingly inaccurate because I couldn't find good and consistent references. Sometimes the Amygdala are shown with 8 arms, sometimes they only have 6. Some have 3-section arms, some have 4. Some have Cthulhu face tentacles, some don't. Some are 50 ft tall, some are 100. For this final attempt I decided to just look for references that closely match the one you actually fight in the game. So 6 3-sectioned arms, no face tentacles, and smaller. Scaled for 25-30mm player minis, this monstrosity has a base of ~100mm. Absolutely needs many supports. I had success printing at 90-degrees (base perpendicular to the plate, Amy's head facing up.) Fingers are particularly fragile, but given the nature of these creatures a missing digit probably won't be noticed. I'm quite proud of this one, so if you make one please do share! Edit 9/19/22: I just changed the thumbnail because Thingiverse darkens it for some reason, so you couldn't really see it. This one should be better.
