I created this gift for my teacher's book club members, who read Amulet, Vol. 1: The Stonekeeper by Kazu Kibuishi in their grade 4 and 5 class. The design is inspired by the magical amulet from the book series. The Amulet Series of fantasy graphic novels now has seven volumes and counting, with a TV adaptation currently in development by Fox. I printed these two pieces using gold and red PLA plastic, which took only 20 minutes each to complete (a total cost of around 11 cents for the material). The two components fit together perfectly, but I added a small amount of glue to reinforce their connection.
