Amulet
pinshape
Designers are now able to create jewelry that was previously impossible or impractical to produce thanks to the advent of 3D printers. A custom amulet features a freely moving oval shape with an inscription. The initial 3D design is created using "Rhino," and then it's adapted for printing by "Meshmixer," which controls and supports the model in three dimensions. The printer uses the DLP projector principle to produce layers of 0.035 mm thickness. Once printed, the model is directly cast from silver using a lost wax technology process.
