I recently assisted a friend in modifying a Ring Alarm contact sensor to serve as an alarm trigger for their AMSEC STAR round door in-floor safe from www.amsecusa.com/floor-safes/. This setup promotes good security practices by requiring the safe door to be in place and locked, with the dial removed and cover secured before the alarm system can arm without bypassing the sensor. This configuration should also work with most other wireless alarm system sensors as long as they are not much larger than the Ring contact sensors, and you can figure out how to modify them, which is usually very easy.
