This is a VESA mount compatible adapter for AmScope microscopes. This makes is very easy to mount the microscope onto a cheap articulated arm. This is meant to be used the AmScope stands that have linear bearings supporting the sliding stage. (note: this may not be compatible with some AmScope clones without the aforementioned linear bearing) Get rid of the cumbersome and heavy microscope stands that take up your whole desk! You will need 2x 8mm ID x 12mm OD x 15mm Length bushings such as these: https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B07JM1ZHG3?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details For assembly: >Press in the 2 bushings into the holes for the height adjustment knobs >Transfer the bearing guide rails from the original AmScope part >Transfer the rear linear rail end-stop screws >load the linear bearings with the balls while sliding in the sliding stage >Transfer the opening linear rail end-stop screws >Set the slide travel end-stop screw >Install the microscope holder and mount to a VASA compatible arm VESA screw hole size is 3.5mm. Whatever imperial screws came with my monitor stand were able to self tap without an issue. This was designed and tested to not need supports while printing large flat side down, ymmv.
