Amscope to camera module adapter
cults3d
This adapter threads two connections together: a C-mount 1"-32 UN 2A camera module and an Amscope trinocular extension tube M26/0.75, found on models like the SM-3TZ-54S. The OpenSCAD file is available for download and modification if needed. It uses the polyScrewThread_r1 library to create a custom thread design. A correction factor of 1.005 has been applied to ensure accurate print dimensions. When printing this adapter, check that the outer diameter of the M26 thread measures between 25.73 and 25.97 millimeters. If issues arise during assembly, refer to the thread specifications for troubleshooting. To install the adapter, first detach the silver tube from the extension tube by unscrewing it. Then, screw the adapter into place, being mindful of the correct threading direction. The larger thread should face inward toward the extension tube, while the smaller C-mount thread faces outward. Once securely fastened, adjust focus for your eyes and then switch to the camera module, fine-tuning its focus using the extension tube. This will enable you to achieve simultaneous focus on both your eyes and the camera image. For optimal image orientation, release the base of the extension tube by removing a small screw from its outer rim and rotate it as needed.
