Amphicoryna scalaris is a species that measures approximately 800 micrometers in dimension. It is currently active. The location where it was discovered is the Canyon de Cassidaigne, located in France. The method used to capture its image involves microtomography with X-rays using a Zeiss-Xradia MicroXCT-400. This achievement was realized by Vladimir Vidal from Plateforme Matrix at CEREGE and OSU PYTHEAS Aix-Marseille Université in May 2019.
