Plaster cast of the skull of a carboniferous amphibian Megalocephalus sp., originally found at Dawley, Shropshire. Megalocephalus, meaning "big head," is an extinct genus of baphetid amphibian from late Carboniferous times in the British Isles. This genus includes two species: M. pachycephalus and M. lineolatus. The object was imaged using a high-resolution Artec spider scanner and processed with Artec studio 12 software. This fossil is part of the Fossils in Shropshire collection.
