Ampersand lamp
thingiverse
About 70 inches in length, 1.6 inches deep. The ampersand is printed in bioplastic material. The LED bulbs are printed in a transparent polymer with enhanced clarity. Battery box is made from PETG using recommended layer height of 0.25mm. LED (warm white): https://www.kjell.com/se/sortiment/el-verktyg/elektronik/optokomponenter/lysdioder/lysdiod-5-mm-varmvit-p90729 I discovered the ideal setting for the LEDs at approximately 5 milliamps, which is equivalent to 1 kilohm at 5 volts. Original specification: 20 milliamps. The threads in bioplastic material work quite well; I cleared them with a thread tool just because. Since I wanted the bulbs to be as clear as possible, they were printed with a 0.6mm nozzle and the flow rate was set to about 110-120% so the threads became a bit "undefined," I sharpened them the classic, mechanical way with a thread tool M10x1.5. Hot melt is used to secure the LEDs, wiring, and USB female at the battery box. Source files are included.
