Robert Indiana created Amor Valentine, a sculpture in Latin/Spanish, as a response to shifting US demographics and his desire to communicate with fellow citizens. The Philadelphia Museum of Art, in collaboration with the Association for Public Art, installed Robert Indiana's AMOR on the museum's famous steps in 2015, during the World Meeting of Families and Pope Francis' visit to the U.S. This installation was made possible by a loan from the Morgan Art Foundation, courtesy of Simon and Marc Salama-Caro.
