Digitally recreated right tarsometatarsus from a Red-tailed tropicbird, scientifically known as Phaethon rubricauda. The actual specimen resides within the Auckland War Memorial Museum's collections, identified by accession number LB5637. Daniel Thomas, an expert at the Institute of Natural and Mathematical Sciences, Massey University, produced this digital bone model using a high-tech HP SLS-2 3D Scanner in conjunction with HP 3D scan 5 software. Post-processing was handled through Blender 2.74. The dimensions of the bounding box for the bone measure 7 x 8.7 x 30.7 mm.
