SEE LINK BELOW FOR NEW VERSION OF HEAVIER BBS AND BETTER CONSISTENCY https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2789790 This is a working semi-final version of my Amoeba Striker Hop Up Arm for the stock hop chamber, designed to allow some up and down "play" in the hop arm to maximize contact with the BB and minimize resistance. The idea behind this design is to create maximum efficiency by allowing the BB to pass through the hop with optimal contact and minimum friction. This version is not a standalone part; it requires something compressible and elastic between the hop screw and the hop arm, which I have found to be half of a 4mm air hose placed along the length (not across) of the arm. It does require some fine-tuning through sanding (less than 30 seconds), as I initially struggled to get it to fit perfectly in the chamber. In the end, I opted for precision over perfect length and used high-grit sandpaper to achieve a smooth finish. After testing with .28g BBs, I noticed a very slight range increase compared to the concave hop arm on Thingiverse. However, consistency has reached new heights, making this design a notable improvement.
