Alaska's Middle Jurassic treasure, the Ammonite Zemistephanus charlottensis(?) from Tuxedni Group in Lake Clark National Park and Preserve, was carefully collected in its entirety. However, during transport, it suffered a catastrophic fall that resulted in approximately 20 fragments. A significant amount of glue was used to painstakingly reassemble the fossil, earning it a nod to the infamous "Humpty Dumpty" tale. The reconstructed ammonite measures around 9.5 cm in length.
