Ammonite
myminifactory
Indeterminate Jurassic ammonite, found in an unknown location. This ammonite roamed the Earth during two distinct periods of its history: the Jurassic and Cretaceous eras. These time intervals span a massive 140 million years. The Jurassic Period began approximately 201 million years ago, while the Cretaceous Period came to an end about 66 million years ago. Notably, these ammonites became extinct at the same moment as the dinosaurs vanished from Earth's surface. Fortunately, we have a vast understanding of them due to their widespread fossilization. When their remains or impressions are buried beneath sediment, they eventually transform into rock through solidification. This object was scanned using an Artec spider scanner and then processed with Artec studio 12 by C. Greenall.
