Amiga/Vampire Cooling Fan Vent
thingiverse
I decided to upgrade my Amiga 600, equipped with a Vampire V2, by installing a cooling fan due to recurring overheating issues. To address space constraints, I designed the fan mount to draw cool air into the top of the case while blowing it over and under the Vampire card. This custom design accommodates standard 40mm fans and can be secured using tape, hot glue, Sugru, or similar adhesives on the vents inside the case. For added stability, users can opt to screw the fan in place using M3 x 12mm Allan/Hex Cap head screws to prevent rattling or vibration. Recognizing the potential usefulness of this design for other Amiga owners and accelerator card users, I have included three different fan vent sizes. The one featured in the photos is a longer version that fits seamlessly with the Vampire V2. UPDATE: To cater to various needs, I have uploaded three revised fan mounts with raised edges designed specifically to fit on either side of the Amiga 600's air vents. This allows for easy attachment using 5mm double-sided tape.
