Amiga internal floppy replacement dust cover
prusaprinters

If you take a Chinon floppy drive that has a regular face plate and button and top cover, remove the face plate and button and put in an Amiga 1200 as an internal drive, the top of the Amiga will not fit. This is because the regular top cover of a Chinon drive is too long. I have seen really ugly jobs where someone has taken that lid off and cut it back so that the Amiga top piece fits, but it leaves a mess and sharp edges on the edge of the floppy drive. Unless you have some specialized equipment it is very hard to cut that thin metal straight and smooth.

This replacement snaps into place of the old cover and allows the top of the Amiga to fit. Any color will work but transparent looks good.

Print Settings

Printer Brand:

Prusa

Printer:

I3 MK3S

Rafts:

No

Supports:

Yes

Resolution:

0.20

Infill:

n/a

Filament:
Prusament PETG Transparent

Notes:

You will need to use supports on the square hole at the back of the cover but use support blockers to avoid having to pick supports off the bumps on the inside of the cover, they should print fine.

Category: Computer
