Amiga 1000 Gotek Floppy Emulator Mount
thingiverse
This mounting bracket provides a way to mount a Gotek floppy emulator board in the Commodore Amiga 1000. There are many brackets like these on thingiverse for other Amiga computer models but I didn't come across one for the 1000. Hopefully this is useful to someone! As with other designs, this bracket assumes you have added the popular 0.9" OLED screen to your Gotek, and reuses the existing case mounts for the original floppy drive without having to modify any existing plastic pieces. Notes: The OLED screen is visible through the left side of the floppy drive opening, like in a lot of the other designs. This bracket will fit in the computer with or without the RF shielding, although you will need to carefully move the shield around the left side of the bracket when installing it. I did not add a dummy floppy eject button because I ended up using the original one and gluing it in place in the hole. To make the Gotek buttons useable, and to work with the short length of the floppy power cable, the Gotek board is recessed back a bit (but not so far as to make the USB port difficult to use). This is why I've added little extensions for the buttons. They should just pop on the buttons and be held in place by the front cover, without being able to pull them off. If you're worried about them falling off, you could use a drop of super glue to stick them onto the Gotek buttons. To give credit where it's due, here are the sources I used to cobble this together.
