Amewi amX51 Drone Center Plate

A custom-designed center plate and battery holder for the Amewi amX51 FPV drone. The main goal is to accommodate a different sized battery, specifically an 11mm x 35mm x 70mm RC Li-Po, rather than the proprietary Amewi one. The system consists of two parts: a center plate and a separate battery holder. They are screwed together using original legs and an FPV camera mount. This design can also serve as a starting point for further projects. The battery holder is completely independent, connected only by two screws. Additional materials required: * 2x Countersunk M3x10 screws Instructions to modify the drone: 1. Disassemble the drone. * Remove the camera (snaps). * Unscrew the camera mount (four small screws). * Unscrew the legs (two large screws). * Unscrew the battery holder (four small screws, which will be unused in the new design). * Unscrew the center plate (eight large screws). * Unplug cables from the PCB (4x rotor, 1x camera power connector). * Remove the rods holding the rotors (secured by four small screws). Note which rod goes where. Observe how the cables were routed in the rod housing. * Unscrew the PCB (4x small screws, 4x vibration mounts). * Unscrew the camera connector (2x small screws). 2. Print the center plate and the battery holder. 3. Verify that the parts fit together. 4. Check that the center plate fits with the drone's center cover. 5. Tap all the holes using the screws from the old assembly, then remove them. Note that tolerances might need adjusting based on your printer. Screws should go in without much force but still hold firmly. It is easier to tap the holes beforehand and you can adjust this step according to your printer's tolerance. 6. Tap the two M3 holes. 7. Insert the rods, maintaining their original order. First pull through the connector and the cable, then insert the rod after it. Screw in the securing screws. 8. Mount the PCB, including vibration mounts and screw in the screws. 9. Screw in the camera connector. 10. Connect the cables (see photo or take your own). 11. (Recommended) Connect the battery and test functionality. Check rotation direction (see manual). 12. Mount the center plate back onto the drone and connect with the eight screws with the cover plate. 13. Screw the battery holder to the center plate (two M3 screws). 14. Screw the legs to the battery holder (two large screws). 15. Screw the camera mount to the legs & battery holder (four small screws). 16. Mount the camera, plug it in. 17. Fly
