Amethyst Ice Lantern Mold
thingiverse
Here's another ice lantern mold, this time inspired by an amethyst crystal - Sniff from the Moomins! Creating one is straightforward: 1. Print the mold and fill it with cold water. Use water colors as dye 2. Let it freeze almost completely (outside or in the freezer) 3. Remove the lantern from the mold 4. You can place a candle behind it to make it shimmer during winter nights! A few points to keep in mind: Using vase mode and a larger nozzle or extrusion width (0.8mm and up) is recommended to achieve a watertight mold with a decent print time (or just print slightly scaled down!) Don't freeze it completely solid as you risk breaking the mold when ice expands too much. You can use hot water to heat the mold and better separate them.
